- Open the downloaded file.
- Drag WhatsApp MCP into the Applications folder.
- Open the app from the Applications folder.

Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. No administrator password needed.
Download for WindowsWhatsApp-MCP-Setup.exe
- Run the downloaded installer.
- If you see “Windows protected your PC”, click More info and then Run anyway. The installer isn’t signed.
- At the end, leave Open WhatsApp MCP checked. The installer speaks your Windows language when it is English, Portuguese or Spanish, and English otherwise; the app follows your system’s language.

- AppImage: make the file executable with
chmod +x WhatsApp-MCP-*.AppImageand open it. - .deb package: install it with

Scan the QR code with your phone
In WhatsApp, go to Settings › Linked devices › Link a device and point the camera at the code in the app. If you prefer, ask for a code to type on your phone instead.

Connect your AI tool
One click connects Claude Desktop (chat and Cowork) or Claude Code. For Codex, Cursor and other tools that support MCP, the app gives you ready-made text to paste.
Prefer the terminal?
For a computer without a screen that stays on all the time, there’s the command-line version, with no window. It works on macOS and Linux, without sudo, and opens the same panel in the browser.
